Jennifer and Allan Mackay have over twenty five years experience of making guests welcome. Their business started in Scotland in 1982, moved to Darlington in 1990 and since 1996 they have been based at Franklin View in Harrogate. Each guesthouse they have operated has been an old house carefully renovated and refurbished to the highest standards

Franklin View was awarded a Visit Britain Quality in Tourism 4 Diamond Silver Award in 1999 and has successfully retained this grading after annual, unannounced inspection visits. All rooms in the house have been tastefully decorated and enjoy relaxing garden views. Each room has modern en-suite facilities, colour television, a hair dryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Guests also have use of a fridge, trouser press and an iron and ironing board are always available for "pressing" problems.
There is a wide variety of breakfast options including vegetarian and special dietary requirements can be catered for. All food is freshly prepared and served in a quiet and elegant dining room overlooking the rear garden.In line with its quiet, elegant ambience and for the benefit of all guests Franklin View maintains a strictly no smoking policy.
